Though hostel facilities exist in some DU colleges, the majority of students prefer PGs in the neighborhood.
The Delhi University commerce faculty is well experienced with professors specializing in corporate finance, taxation, business law, and entrepreneurship. DU is divided into two main campuses: North Campus and South Campus, along with several off-campus colleges. North Campus houses some of the most prestigious colleges and has a traditional university feel, while South Campus is more modern. Infrastructure quality varies—some colleges have excellent facilities, while others may struggle with maintenance and resources.
DU is renowned for its high academic standards. It offers courses in humanities, sciences, commerce, law, and more. The faculty members are highly qualified, with many being experts in their respective fields. Some colleges, like St. Stephen’s, Hindu, and SRCC, are particularly well-known for their rigorous academics. However, the teaching quality varies between colleges and departments.
One of DU’s biggest attractions is its vibrant student life. From debates and theater to music and entrepreneurship, there’s something for everyone. Societies like dramatics, fashion, and literature are highly active. The annual fests of various colleges, like SRCC’s "Crossroads" and Hindu College’s "Mecca," are a major highlight.
Delhi University (DU) is one of India’s most prestigious educational institutions, known for its academic excellence, vibrant campus life, and rich history. Established in 1922, DU has grown into a massive institution with numerous colleges and departments offering a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs.
DU is known for being highly affordable compared to private universities, with low tuition fees and various scholarship opportunities. However, getting admission can be tough due to high cut-offs, especially for popular courses
Delhi University remains one of the best institutions in India, especially for students looking for quality education, exposure, and an active campus life. While it has its flaws, the overall experience is enriching and can be a stepping stone to great career opportunities.
Infrastructure is good with clean and well-maintained classrooms, new library, and different commerce labs. Wi-Fi is excellent, and availability of online study material is a point in its favor. Old campus has an excellent academic environment for students
The BCom Finance program focuses on gaining solid theoretical knowledge in corporate finance, investments, and taxation. Professors are well experienced, and the course curriculum is revised from time to time Self study and internship are of very high significance for practical exposure
Placement can be done, but there is enormous competition. Senior companies recruit finance and accounting profiles, but CA, CFA, or government sector roles are the first choice of the majority of students. Internship and other certified students have better chances of placement in reputable companies
Since it is a government college, the fee is quite affordable, and therefore it is also one of the value-for-money BCom courses in India. In terms of a career in finance, the return on investment is excellent, considering they go to skill-development courses
DU offers student life in active form through commerce clubs, finance workshops, and industry get-togethers. Corporate interactions and networking exposure are offered for students. Debates, fests, and cultural activities form part of well-roundedness
The infrastructure of departmeyof environmental studies at delhi university is pretty good.It has all basic equipment for conducting lab experiments and also contains good number of computer systems for dry lab works.
My experience from past two years at department of environmental studies ,university of delhi is good. The faculty members are so helpful and kind and delivers the best knowledge needed for better future opportunities
The department also has its own placement cell where students maintain the data about all placement companies who will come to department.Intrested students can apply in placement cell and can sit in placement by developing there resume
My course costed me around 15–20k per year
The campus life is also good
Overall my experience at university of delhi is nice
Infrastructure is so good .The library is great. canteen is quite good and affordable. all facilities including computers, books, Wi-Fi, etc. Labs are also good. Classrooms are fully AC and fine. A medical room is there. All the sports equipment is available.
Faculty members of our college are top notch as they are well experienced and teachers are really helpful. The course curriculum is good for real scenarios as well. The semester exams are easy if you studied good for that without preparing.
80% of students got placed Placements are quite good in our college. The highest package was 8 LPA and lowest package was 4 LPA .Internships also take place, and students mostly choose internships rather than jobs.
The college provided Wi-Fi but connection is poor and connectivity is good only in certain areas. the canteen food, prices are very affordable. It is a very beautiful campus from the inside. Greenery is also there,There is also a library where you can study.
Teachers are overall good and helpful and have deep knowledge They have good clarity of concepts also. The course offers a variety of career options in fields . Semester exams are not difficult. You will be able to score a good CGPA.
The college provide placements however during college days we went to various field visits. Teachers also provided us internship opportunities. the highest package was 12LPA, and the lowest package was 5 LPA.
Infrastructure of DU, College is good having labs for everything .Fully AC classes with high-speed Wi-Fi, available in the college which is accessible only to the college students. you have to take PG which costs around 12k.
Faculty was good and quite experienced and our professors are well qualified. They have good knowledge about their subjects which makes it easier to understand. Curriculum quite updated with tutorials and practicals to each subject.
The placements will be decent from the college because earlier DTU came under the University of Delhi .its own Central Placement Cell in which we are also eligible..Seniors are also very helpful. In our college, one needs to work hard to get placements.
The infrastructure and facilities are not that good. Wi-Fi is working only in the library and also Canteen was good. Food was great also and the price of food good. Library was nice. Our environment was good and peaceful. Computer labs were great and air-conditioned. Classes were average and no air conditioning as well as benches. The infrastructure was okay. But all I hear is that hostel is good.
Some teachers are really good but some teachers do not even know what and how to teach.the curriculum is relevant and the students are industry-ready. The semester exams are not very difficult, and more than 60% are considered good. Semester exams were easy to pass.
The average package was 6.5 LPA. The highest package was 20 LPA. Placements for LLB were less. More placement was offered to different courses such as B.Sc, B.Com (h), and B.A. Generally, 50 to 60 students get placements every year.
Our college has good infrastructure and has all the essential facilities like Wi-Fi, purified water, a well-maintained classroom, and excellent labs with the latest experiments materials, it also has a library with a rich collection of books and reading room inside the library with wifi facilities but here is no hostel facility which is the saddest part. The quality of food offered in canteen is good. College also has medical facilities, sports and game facilities are present in our university.
I have done my BSC Hons Zoology form Delhi University and teachers here are very helpful and highly qualified in their respective domains. They had good knowledge in their specific subject, overall their teaching quality is pretty good. The course offered here is relevant and follows university guidelines, which make students best in their field here semester exams are a little difficult to paas as you are doing a Bsc Hons degree not a regular Bsc degree so you have to study very seriously in this university.
After doing Bsc Hons Zoology there were no placements for our course. However, there were placements for other courses like B.Com and some vocational management courses, roles offered by companies are sales, digital marketing, etc , the salary package offered ranges from 4-5 LPA. Mostly small companies or startup companies visit the college for placements purpose.
Tuition fees of Delhi University is very low as it a central university in india that's why the fees structure is very low .
College also organises fest and some events at regular intervals. It also promotes extracurricular activities likes Sports activities some competition etc
