Achutha Institute of Technology or AIT as it is popularly known as started as a venture in 2010 and is a premier educational centre situated in Chikkaballapur, Karnataka. This affiliated college approved by AICTE had been started its journey of aiming for prospering engineering education from more than a decade. Located at Gopalapura, Bagaluru, AIT has a plethora of undergraduate engineering courses which have been developed to foster technical knowledge and creativity. The faculty @ Institute is dedicated enough comprising of 47 members and it aims to serve education that is par excellence, to the future engineers.

They include; Laboratories, Library, Hostel, Cafeteria, Medical, Transport, Sports, Games, Gym, Swimming Pool, Wireless Campus, Internet, Gymkhana, Auditorium, Classroom etc. Achutha Institute of Technology has separate hostels for boys and girls respectively to provide comfortable living for students coming from different part of the country. The boys hostel can house up to 75 percent of the boys and the girls hostel up to 50 percent of the girls, they have single seated and triple seated classrooms. There exist gyms for those individuals who have interests in working out and keep fit for individuals with a leaning towards fitness. There are options for different games and sports facilities such as an athletic track, a ground for cricket, football, hockey, a volleyball court, a basketball court and for badminton. 

Achutha Institute of Technology also values technology with good Information technology facilities and internet service throughout the institute so as to enable the student’s connection as well as resourceful. Canteen facility is available on the campus to give healthy food and the transport facililty available to ensure transportaion means for student as well as staff members. The college also has a functional alumni association through which current students are placed under the model alumni association of the college.

The entire number of Full Time Bachelor of Engineering programmes offered by Achutha Institute of Technology is five in total but are divided in such a way to fulfill various segments of engineering discipline. Some of these courses are BE in Aeronautical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering CS and Engineering and Civil Engineering. Across all of these courses, the institute has an approved intake of 240 students, enough opportunities for engineering students who wish to specialise in certain fields.  

This affiliated college, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), has been making strides in the field of engineering education for over a decade. Organisational admission process for admission in Achutha Institute of Technology is unbiased and there is predominance of merit. The institute also considers K CET score which is the common entrance test for various professional courses in Karnataka. Admissions for the course are only open to students who have passed the Karnataka Common Entrance Test, or KCET, and meet a range of requirements set out by the college. The KCET is usually held once a year, and students are encouraged to check the official page regarding the dates and how to apply . Unfortunately there is no scholarship information regarding scholarships, however students may directly get in touch with the institute to get some detailed information of the scholarships.
