The Adaikalamatha College at Thanjavur was set up in 1988 and is under affiliation, located at Arun Nagar, Vallam in Tamil Nadu. The institution is located in a 28-acre campus with 27 programmes of study in fourteen degree fields. The college has 797 students and 56 faculty members qualified and experienced which makes the strength of the college good student teacher ratio. The admission to Adaikalamatha College differs from COURSE. For B.Ed and D.T.Ed programmes there is direct admission given to the students on merit level depending upon their marks scored in the examination or entrance test as per rules framed by the state government & University. For the B.Ed programme there are 100 seats available and for the D.T.Ed programme there are 50 seats.
