Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology, or ASET, came into existence in the year 2012 at Palakkad, Kerala, and is an affiliated college. Located in the Ahalia Health, Heritage and Knowledge Village, the institute occupies a total land area of 13.08 acres. ASET is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college presently delivers 9 courses spread across 2 degrees, has a total of 580 students enrolled and a faculty of 60 full-time teachers. ASET offers different fields of study in engineering, such as computer science engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, and electronics and communication engineering.

Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology is affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram. Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology has several facility amenities that are quickly advanced to assist in student learning and development. The library and information centre is very large and equipped with 150 student seats and over seven thousand volumes of books in different branches of engineering. It also reads 36 national-level journals and 15 magazines. ASET’s IT support is very good, as it awards students technologically advanced systems. 

The college has state-of-the-art laboratories for each department, such as Electronic Circuits, Digital Electronics, VLSI, and Communication Systems laboratories. To contribute to students’ physical health, ASET has opened sports facilities and a gym. The campus also separately has hostels for men and women, respectively, both at an appropriate distance from the central structure with comfort facilities like reading rooms, canteens and other basic internet facilities.

Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology teaches a total of 9 courses: 6 for the undergraduate and 4 diploma courses. The B.Tech programmes are duration-based and take four years to complete, as do the diploma programmes that take three years to complete. The institute has an approved student capacity of 580 in all courses offered in the institute.

The process of admissions at Ahalia School of Engineering and Technology is mainly a result of the candidate’s performance in the Kerala Engineering Architecture & Medical Examination (KEAM). This entrance is at the state level and is used as the main basis for admission into the B.Tech programmes in ASET. Like many engineering institutions in the state, the institute accepts KEAM scores for all of its engineering programmes to provide equitable opportunity for acceptance for its students.
