Al-ameen Engineering College, Palakkad an affiliated college, was started in the year 2003 is situated in Kulappully, Shoranur, Palakkad District of Kerala. This institute is located in a campus of 30 acre and the institute is imparting education in engineering disciplines at the UG and PG level. Endorsed by NAAC and recognized by AICTE Alameen engineering college was started in the year 1995-96 and its total intaken strength of the student is 831 and total faculty member of the college is 57. The college possesses 9 courses of 2 degrees where specialties are offered in Engineering Sciences: Computer Science; Electronics and Communications; Mechanical; and Civil.

Al-Ameen Engineering College has multiple academic infrastructures to support the courses offered as well as multiple services for students’ welfare. The college library has more than 45000 textbooks, and the college has subscribed to 150 national journal and 10 international journal. Study areas and discussion rooms are also provided and, are also well lit and accommodate several students at a time. The campus has modern laboratories for the engineering disciplines that include electrical engineering laboratory, power electronics lab, and the advanced electrical engineering laboratory. For computing purposes, the college has a well-equipped cyber center with facility of complete A/C, high speed net connectivity and all the modern software / hardware facilities. Football, volleyball, basketball, and other sports fields can be used in order to improve your athleticism. The college also hosts male and female students separately in hostels, which have a capacity of 300 each and infrastructures facilities such as power supply backup and internet connection among others.

Al-Ameen Engineering College provides the 9 courses, 7 courses under B.Tech, and 2 courses under M.Tech. All courses are full time, regular programs. B.Tech programme offered is Computer Science Engineering, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering. The M.Tech programs availabl are Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. The total sanctioned intake of the college is 366 with B.Tech 60 each in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence & Data science and rest of the B.Tech = 30 each with Civil Engineering having 60 seats. Both of the M.Tech programs have 18 seats each.

Admission into Al-Ameen Engineering College depends primarily on the Kerala Engineering Architecture & Medical Examination (KEAM). This is a state level entrance exam accepted for several B.Tech such as Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering and Mechanical Engineering etc. For other programs the College may have its own admission requirements depending with the type of program you are applying for. The college also accept the allotment done through a centralized admission process which is conducted by the state government for engineering. Unfortunately, financial aid information of the college as always are lacking but students are advised to follow up on college financial aid office.
