Alva’s College of Medical Laboratory Technology and Post Graduate Research Centre was set up in 2000 is at Moodbidri, Karnataka. This affiliated college offers education in medical laboratory technology with undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The institute is located on limited area of land 2.39 acres It has total students strengths of 164 and total faculty strength of 7. 

Alva's College of Medical Laboratory Technology and Post Graduate Research Centre, Moodbidri is affiliated to the college Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. The institute has numerous facilities moved towards enhancing the student learning and overall health. It also has two different hostels for men and women and also have North and South Indian food facility. The present college library has a collection of over 3000 medical books and bound current journals to borrow, open from 8 am to 11 pm with Digital Library and Internet facility. For the pragmatic impartation, the college has functional basic science laboratories as well as a state of the art diagnostic laboratory encompassing subjects such as Anatomy, Physiology, Medical Biochemistry, Medical Microbiology, and Pathology. It also has health centre with first aid, canteen facility, auditorium to conduct programme and seminars, and sports facilities of Ekalavya Sports Club.

The college provides two full-time courses. B.Sc & M.Sc in Medical Laboratory Technology to serve the interests of students who want to practice in diagnostic and research laboratories.
