Students must have cleared 12th examination with Physics and Mathematics or Biology as compulsory subjects along with any one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Bio-Tech, Computer Science with 45% marks from a recognised board.
Students must attain an aggregate of 45% (or 40% in case of SC candidates) in 10+2 examinations with Physics, and Mathematics or Biology as compulsory subjects from a recognised board + valid scores in LEET.

The Ambala College of Engineering and Applied Research offer various scholarships under the SRSMT scholarship schemes. The ACE provides scholarships to meritorious students on the basis of merit. The students may avail of the SRSMT scholarships by appearing for the SRSMT entrance test for engineering or may avail it through the ranks obtained in JEE Main. Moreover, the ACE also provides scholarships on the basis of performance in LEET and also on the merit on the 12th standard examinations. Furthermore, the Ambala College of Engineering and Applied Research accepts all the government and state-level scholarships provided to eligible candidates.

The T & P Cell organises industrial visits and sustains all the proceedings conducted in three phases.
