Doctor Of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biotechnology programme shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned Offered by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore


Eligibility Criteria

Master’s Degree in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry or any branch of Biological Sciences with at least 60% marks. Those candidates who qualified CSIR/UGC JRF or GATE can directly appear for the interview while others should appear for a written test which will be conducted in the last week of June every year. Such candidates will be called for the interview based on their performance in the written test and their qualifying examination.

Admission Details

Selection will be based on a written test followed by an interview.
