Sri Venkateswara College of Arts & Science affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University is situated in the culturally famous town of Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu It occupies an area of 10.33acres in extent. ACAS Kumbakonam teaches 36 courses for thirteen degree programs to 2707 students. The college has the privilege of having a faculty of 154 members that fully obliges the college and its students with a qualified teacher/student ratio. Reaccredited by NAAC with B++ Grade and recognised by AICTE, ACAS Kumbakonam displays its principle of delivering quality education.
A wide variety of service facilities has been provided in the college to complement the total learning environment. The library as an important element of the academic arrangement is placed in an exquisite central building. The resources include books, journals, e-resources, question bank and all transactions are bar coded with a fully automated library information system. For students’ accommodation ACAS Kumbakonam has separate hostels for boys and girls with a total strength of 120 students each. These hostels include, leisure facilities, internet connection to enhance the quality of living in these hostels.
ACAS Kumbakonam is capable of offering all undergraduate and postgraduate programs across all the disciplines. The college offers 36 courses which are as follows, B.Sc Computer Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry, MBA and MCA etc. The institute also encourages research activities through doctoral courses in Tamil, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Computer Science and other streams.
