ACAS Kumbakonam Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College has separate homely hostels for boys inside the campus with 191 well-furnished rooms to accommodate 267 boys with all facilities in a room for comfortable living. In this, 200 boys are occupied in the current academic year. Facilities like indoor games and recreation like TV and reading rooms are available to make students for hostel life pleasurable.

The College has separate homely hostels for girls inside the campus with 191 well-furnished rooms to accommodate 178 girls with all facilities in a room for comfortable living. In this, 170 girls are occupied in the current academic year. Facilities like indoor games and recreation like TV and reading rooms are available to make students ' hostel life pleasurable.

The college has a very special concern for the health and hygiene of the students and staff. The college conducts various health-related awareness programs, awareness programs, and sanitation programs regularly through the Health Club or NSS. With the tie-up of local hospital services of doctors availed one part-time doctor has been appointed to give treatment to the sick students. Vehicles will be provided for sick students in emergency cases. A sick room is also available on the college campus. Automatic Electric Incinerators have been installed to destroy the used sanitary pads. A first aid kit is provided. Wastewater is properly dispersed. The College also ensures the campus is smoke and plastic-free.

The College library is housed in a magnificent building that is located almost in the center of the campus. The Library is the nerve center of knowledge and serves the students and staff members with needed information resources.  The Library acts as a vital partner in collaborative learning activities with a wide range of academic resources such as books, journals, current periodicals, back volumes, e-resources, CDs/DVDs, Question bank, and institutional library membership. The library is a fully automated, barcode-based system and provides a user–friendly atmosphere. The library is installed with CCTV cameras.

The College provides facilities for indoor games such as Carom and Chess. The students are well-trained and are encouraged to participate in national or state-level events.

Outdoor games: The institution also provides facilities for outdoor games such as Volleyball, Throwball, Kho-Kho, and Athletic events such as long jump, high jump, shot put, and javelin throw. Cricket, cement nets, and a basketball court are available on the campus. The students are well-trained and are encouraged to participate in national or state-level events. This department facilitates students to make a play on sports grounds and provides play kits. Various games, cricket, volleyball, Basketball, gymnastics, Indoor games like TT, billiards, chess.

The College computer lab is used by the students to practice the application of computers in various fields. The primary goal of the computer lab is to assist students, which will enhance their chances of success. All the computers in the Computer Science Laboratory are connected to the Internet. The students can make use of the facility for downloading the necessary details for their studies. The center will be kept open even after regular class hours and also on Saturdays for the benefit of students.

The College Four Seminar/conference halls and two auditoriums (Open air Annai Auditorium and Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Movie Theater Auditorium) are available on the college premises.

The Department of Science is organizing a Seminar/Conference in the “CV Raman” hall. The Department of Computers is organizing a Seminar/Conference in the “Shiva Ayyadurai” hall. The School of Commerce is organizing the seminar/conference in “Chanakya” Hall and the Department of Tamil and English is organizing the seminar/conference in “Thiruvalluvar” Hall, which are well-furnished and air-conditioned with a seating capacity of 150 members respectively. The seminar hall is fully equipped with Audio and Visual Systems.

The College Transport facilities are available from all required places to enable the students to reach the college on time. More than 37 buses were plying to various places. The buses are plying, covering all the routes for the use of staff and students. Monthly fees are charged for availing the transport facility by the staff of students. The emergency van is available in the college for students and faculty in case of emergency.

The college has a department-based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has a Training and Placement Cell that was formed to guide our students to achieve their future endeavours.  A Committee was formed under the Cell. For its effective functioning, they appointed a Placement Co-ordinator for each department, not only to maintain the database of the students, but also to identify their competency and guide them to attain their career goals. The Placement Cell trains the students based on industry expectations. The cell mainly focuses on Career planning, Personality Development, Industry- Institute Interaction, In-plant training, Industrial visits, Campus placements, and Entrepreneurship Development. The Placement Cell is consistently committed to achieving placement for our students.

The college also provides club facilities for all the students.
