Avinasi Gounder Mariammal College of Education, Erode Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a library facility for all students. It has 8865 volumes of text and reference books on various disciplines. The library subscribes to 20 National and International journals and 04 leading Newspapers. The library is following the open access system and provides its service to meet the requirements of M.Ed scholars and staff members of the College. Our Library has various sections such as Reference Section, Textbook Section, Books for Competitive Examinations, Theses and Dissertations Section, Back Volumes Section, Reprographic Section, Question Banks, etc.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students. Language Laboratory, ICT Lab, Physical, Biological, Mathematics, Education, and History labs are available.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students. Fruits, Vegetable Salad, Stimulated Soup Items, Delicious Tiffin Items, Backward Students Irrespective of Their Community, Variety Rice, Balanced Lunch, Fresh Juices, Healthy snack items.

The college has a Health Centre with basic medical facilities on our campus. Regular and periodical free health services are also offered as a follow-up. A free master health checkup is conducted for all the students and the staff every year. Periodical lectures are delivered highlighting specific problems of women regarding their Health and Hygiene. Underprivileged students are offered free medical consultation and medicine throughout the year.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The College sports ground is beautifully located on the campus. It has well-tended football and an excellent cricket square and nets, newly refurbished hard tennis courts, also used for netball. AGM College team plays its home games at the sports ground. Student Teachers are encouraged to participate in all the intercollegiate-level sports in Educational Colleges in and around Erode District, and also at the State level. The department has infrastructures for indoor games, such as Table tennis, Carom, Chess, and Outdoor games, such as Volleyball, Football, Throwball, Tennikoit, Shuttle, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Javelin, Relay, and Cricket. The department is headed by one Physical Director. Activities are carried out throughout the year. The following are the facilities available in the Department of Physical Education. We have sufficient facilities on our campus for both field events and indoor games for the students to practice and to conduct Intramural Sports.

The college has a girl's hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

The college has an Eco Club functioning in our college since 2013 onwards. This club organizes meetings in relation to Ecological development, and practical aspects are looked into for the development of a sense of Environmental Awareness

 The placement cell of AGM College of Education was started with the batch I students entering the campus. It was started during the year 2005-2006, with the placement officer. Effective functioning of various career-building measures aims at universal standardization, and AGM College of Education is not an exception. There is no trial and error method for excellence,e and no compromise for quality in our placement system. The student-centered teacher education depicts orderly campus recruitment naturally.
