Bal Krishna Institute of Technology, Kota: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Bal Krishna Institute of Technology (BKIT) was set up in 2013 as an affiliated college of Kota, Rajasthan. Spanning a 4.5 acre land, BKIT is a AICTE approved institution. The institute conducts 5 B.Tech courses in engineering disciplines of Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Civil Engineering with student capacity of 157. The faculty members of BKIT comprises of 36 members therefore there would always be a small students to faculty ratio. Pursuing quality education is marked with a modern infrastructure and technical education particularly in the faculty of engineering the institute was offering.

Bal Krishna Institute of Technology offers a number of services to improve the learner experience. The campus has hostels that are separately for boys and girls It consists of fully furnished, ventilated rooms having attached bath. There is a provisionality of a gymnasium through which the students are able to keep fit. The college library as a learning resource centre is set as creative and innovation hub that holds a stock of volumes, titles and journals including e-library through DELNET. The interested sports can play various sport facilities of archery, Athletics, Boxing, Chess, and more to enjoy their sport. The campus is well endowed with modern and functional IT facilities to facilitate the computer science education. 

There is a cafeteria where student and staff meals are provided, and all students and most staff take their meals here, a mess and an auditorium where most of the academic and cultural activities are held. Transport facilities are also being offered by the institute to meet the transport needs of the students and members of the staff.

The Bal Krishna Institute of Technology provides a total of five full time B.Tech courses. The five are Automobile Engineering, Civil engineering, Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering and Computer Science and Engineering. All courses are four-years, full-time courses. These courses have a total approved intake of 120 students split according to the various specialisation offered.

In Bal Krishna Institute of Technology admission is mainly restricted through Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP) and through any valid score achieved in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main). As mentioned above, the two tests have become mandatory examinations that prospective students must write to be considered for admission in any university. The institute accepts the JEE Main score as the national level engineering admission test for the students. This way, BKIT admit student who have solidity background in mathematics and science to prepare them for the engineering studies they are bound to undertake. 

However, certain dates of admission may differ from year to year the candidates are therefore encouraged to follow the REAP exam and the JEE Main exam dates as both greatly influence the admission period. This is of course backed by the institute’s modern facilities and its approach to the teaching and learning process that primarily entails skills development empowering students for a successful professional practice in the engineering field.
