BDCH Davangere: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Bapuji Educational Association College of Dental Sciences, Davangere (also known as Bapuji Dental College and Hospital, Davangere) was founded in 1979. It is an affiliated college of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Hyderabad. The college offers undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D programmes. BDCH Davangere BDS course is the UG programme offered by the college whereas PG programmes cover MDS degree in nine specialisations. Selection in the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes is based on the NEET-UG and NEET-MDS examinations rank, respectively. The Ph.D courses are available in four Dental specialties. The college also provides adequate facilities to its students including library facilities, hostel facilities, a cafeteria and many more facilities.

BDCH Davangere Courses

The college offers an undergraduate course in BDS degree and postgraduate courses in MDS degree. The BDS course is offered with a duration of four academic years plus a compulsory year of internship. BDCH Davangere courses at postgraduate level covers MDS degree in a total of nine specialisations including Periodontia and Oral Medicine and Radiology.

BDCH Davangere Admissions

Selection in the undergraduate BDS programme is based on the NEET-UG score and All India Rank in the online Karnataka State NEET counselling. The candidate is required to fill BDCH Davangere as their college of preference in the online counselling. Qualifying for the NEET-MDS examination is a prerequisite for BDCH Davangere admissions in the PG courses. For Ph.D programmes, the candidate must have an MDS degree or equivalent PG Dental degree from a recognised university/college and qualify for the entrance examination and interview conducted by RGUHS.

BDCH Davangere Cutoff

Admission to the BDS course requires the candidate to score at or above the BDCH Davangere NEET cutoff. For the MDS courses, the students must obtain the relevant scores in the NEET-MDS conducted by the National Board of Examinations. The BDCH Davangere cutoff is different for various courses. According to the statistics, the closing rank in the BDS course was 192153 for the general category students in 2022.

BDCH Davangere Placements

To help students get placed at reputed dental organisations, the placement cell of the college organises placement drives every year. The college’s placement cell also provides extensive training to students for clearing interviews and helping them build a career in their field of interest. As per NIRF 2023, 30 students were placed after the MDS course in 2021-22 from BDCH Davangere placements with an average package of Rs. 6,20,000.
