The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) is a four years duration programme and is among the most popular medical courses after MBBS. The objective of the course is to develop doctors who are well versed in dental sciences and surgeries. If one wishes to become a dentist, then first and foremost, they would have to register themselves with the Dental Council of India.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must have passed the qualifying examinations as enumerated below.
Candidates belonging to general category who secure a minimum of marks at 50 percentile in NEET and satisfy the eligibility norms laid down by DCI will be eligible for admission to BDS Course.
Candidates belonging to backward classes (SC/ST) who secure a minimum of marks at 40 percentile in NEET and satisfy the eligibility norms laid down by DCI will be eligible for admission to BDS Course.
The Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to (10+2) Higher/Senior Secondary Examination which is conducted after a period of 12 years of study, the last two years of such study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English as a core course.
Candidates belonging to the general category must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together at the qualifying examination.
Candidates belonging to backward classes (SC and ST category) must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum 40% mark in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology took together at qualifying examination.

Admission Details

Students will be admitted to BDS course of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University on the basis of the merit obtained by them in the All India Common Entrance Test –NEET-UG.

College Infrastructure

The college has necessary Infrastructure which is well maintained and has good sanitation. The classroom has smart boards which makes it easier for teachers to present the content in the more innovative way.

College Infrastructure

Very good Infrastructure. The departments are on different floors which are well equipped and has excellent staff providing facilities at their best. In total of 4 classrooms on each floor with ACs, smart boards and WiFi availability. Library is very huge part of the college. It has different sections and varied books for UG and PG courses. Computers are also available. Separate resting rooms for Girls, Boys and staff members. Separate Hostels for males and females which are clean and hygienic.
