About Burdwan Medical College, Burdwan

Burdwan Medical College, Burdwan by the University of Burdwan was established in the year 1969 as Burdwan University Medical College. The foundation stone was laid down by the then Honourable Health Minister Late Nani Bhattacharyaa. In the year 1976, the college was renamed to Burdwan Medical College. Uptill the year 2003, the institution was the only Medical College under the academic jurisdiction of Burdwan University and in the year 2003, the college was taken up by the West Bengal University of Health Sciences. Burdwan Medical College, Burdwan is affiliated to West Bengal University of Health Sciences and is recognised by the Medical Council of India. The institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to the students.

Burdwan Medical College is located at Bardhaman University, Bardhaman in West Bengal. Barddhaman Junction Railway Station is around 2 km away from the college. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport is approximately 109 km away and SBSTC Bus Depot. Candidates can hire a taxi or take an auto-rickshaw to reach the institution.

College Infrastructure

a. After studying here for almost 4.5 year.. I can definitely assure that the infrastructure is almost upto the mark,even though it needs improvement.. but nonetheless it's good. b.Even though we have enough Lecture Theatre and the necessary laboratories but they are not equipped with any kind of Wifi or Smart Board facilities c. Even though the hostels are livable and cleaned but they are not maintained well,and the food is good.

This college inculcate the good morals and knowledge.

College Infrastructure

My college has all necessary equipments and all facilities... Classrooms are large and well ventilated, Lecture theatres have a capacity of more than 150 students and are well air conditioned too... Lab, Library and hostels are all well maintained. Living space are clean and hygienic.

Yes you can go for it. Burdwan Medical College and Hospital is a medical college located in Burdwan Town, Purba Bardhaman district, West Bengal. Burdwan Medical College was established in 1969 by the University of Burdwan as Burdwan University Medical College. Placements

The quality of placement is good.The percentage of students being placed is more then 90% ......but to be Frank medical college has nothing to do with placement..it actually depends on pg entrances which has minimum connection with the ug colleges.The average salary depends based on the hospital one gets.
