BSc Medical Laboratory Technology (BSc MLT) program prepares students to become healthcare professionals who play a key role in diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases through clinical laboratory tests. This program enables students to develop expertise in analyzing various body samples, such as blood, tissues, and other fluids, to detect abnormalities and provide critical information for patient care. In addition, students learn to conduct microbiological screenings, biochemical analyses, and cell counting using advanced laboratory techniques and equipment. Medical technologists are vital members of the healthcare system, contributing significantly to the technical and practical aspects of laboratory diagnostics to ensure the accurate and efficient operation of biochemical laboratories in hospitals, diagnostic centers, and research facilities.

Duration

3 Years (6 Semesters) with a 6- months internship in a last semester

Scope/Job Opportunity

Medical Laboratory Technologists in supervisory or management positions in laboratories and hospitals
Medical Laboratory Technologists in molecular diagnostics or molecular biotechnology.

Eligibility Criteria

Pass in +2 Science from a recognized board of the country, with individually pass in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and/or Mathematics and have secured minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry Biology or Mathematics taken together (40% for SC/ST and 45% for Physically Challenged candidates)

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is below expectations for the highly fees we pay. while the main building look good from out side the MLT labs lack working enough equipment for the entire batch.We often have to stand in large groups just to watch the experiments.

centurion university Bhubaneswar has modern infrastructure with smart classrooms, advanced labs , wi-fi , library, seminar halls, hostels, sports grounds, cafeteria, and green surroundings. The campus provides a good environment for learning and student life.
