Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, Sarang, widely known as IGIT Sarang was established in 1982 by the Government of Odisha under the name of Odisha College of Engineering (OCE). The college is approved by AICTE and affiliated with Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela (BPUT Rourkela). IGIT Sarang courses are offered at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology courses include B.Tech, B.Arch, MCA, M.Tech, M.Sc and Ph.D. IGIT admissions for B.Tech programmes are done based on valid JEE Main or OJEE scores. GATE and OJEE PG scores are accepted for IGIT Sarang PG admissions. As per NIRF 2023, 254 UG students were placed with an IGIT Sarang median salary package of Rs 4,50,000 while PG students received a median salary package of Rs 4,00,000.
