Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology Sarang, widely known as IGIT Sarang is a government autonomous college that was established in 1982 by the Government of Odisha under the name of Odisha College of Engineering (OCE). The IGIT Sarang offers six degrees and 44 courses under different specialisations.
The courses offered by Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology Sarang include diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. A few courses offered by the IGIT Sarang include B.Tech, MCA, M.Tech, M.Sc and Ph.D. The college is approved by AICTE and affiliated with Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela (BPUT Rourkela).

Our college provides excellent facilities such as good classrooms, Wi-Fi, library, labs, and books. The hostel facilities are also very good, with meals having an average taste but being healthy. There are two mess facilities, and the food quality is almost good. The medical facilities are average, with one ambulance available 24/7.
In recent years, there have been many new buildings and infrastructure developed at Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology. All the classrooms and the entire campus are equipped with free wifi, and all the classrooms are smart classrooms with smart boards. The hostels, such as Bramhosh Bhawan and surya bhawan, are the best and provide all the facilities and the best food qualities.
College infrastructure is functional with some strong academic facilities. The college infrastructure also includes sports facilities that allow students to engage in recreational activities. But needs improvement in food of mess.
