Chaiduar College, Sonitpur Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a boys’ hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. All minimum facilities viz. water & electricity, furniture, uninterrupted power supply, dining hall, etc. are available in the hostel.

The college has separate hostel facilities for girls that are improved with an increased intake capacity. We received a UGC Grant for Girls Hostel in 2010. With this fund, the ground floor is completed and the total intake is 92.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college has a Multi-gym that is there in the college. The students utilize the college multi-gym regularly.

The college has a library of college is well-equipped with a rich and constantly growing collection of books and journals. The digitization of the library has been accomplished in due course of time. The number of library users is increasing every year, and the library has proved to be a hub of resources for faculty members, researchers, and students. Besides the central library, each department is equipped with its departmental library.

The college has an outdoor: Protected Playground with a pavilion, and a Volleyball court. Indoor: Indoor stadium with facilities for badminton and table tennis with a size of 44 x 90 sq. ft.

The college has Given the IT revolution engulfing the world, the need for computer education along with a regular course has become a necessity. Chair College possesses a full-fledged computer center with the kind assistance of GNRC, Guwahati, to spread the IT wave among the students. The computer center is equipped with LAN and Broadband internet connectivity.

The college has a canteen facility providing clean and hygienic food inside the campus.

The college has one Auditorium and two Seminar-Hall-cum auditoriums with facilities for drama, dance, popular talk, speech, and musical performance.

The college has an Alumni Association that has constituted a platform for the sound gathering of its pass-out students. As the college is in the process of observing the Golden Jubilee in the following year, the alumni have met on several occasions chalking out plans for the betterment of the overall framework. Recently, a garden cum flag hoisting platform has been constructed by the alumni on the college campus.

The college has an Internet Wi-Fi system available within the campus for all.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students. There are 9 (nine) laboratories in the college including a Bio-Tech Hub, Mass–Media LAB, a Pathological Laboratory(MLT), and a Language Lab.

The college has a convenience store facility for students. (like photocopying facility and stationery etc.).

The College provides a digital classroom well equipped with all the audio-visual aids to make teaching-learning more effective and student-friendly.
