B.Optom at Chitkara School of Health Sciences, Jhansla Offline Course

Bachelor of Optometry (B.Optom) is a five-years full-time undergraduate course offered by Chitkara University, Patiala.

Chitkara School of Health Sciences offers a 4-year full-time educational program in Optometry which deals with comprehensive eye examination, clinical specialties, diagnostics, and management of diseases and disorders of the visual system.

This program is envisaged to develop and train students to perform a comprehensive eye examination and enables students to become competent in providing services as an optometrist at multi-specialty health care hospital, tertiary eye care hospital, specialty eye clinics such as contact lens clinic, binocular vision and vision therapy clinic, low vision clinic and visual rehabilitation centres. Optometrists can also serve at various multinational vision eye care companies.

During the course, students also get integrated into research program and have an opportunity to participate in various national-level community-based eye camps, eye screenings, clinical visits as well as industrial visits.
