Life at CMR was like walking on thorns. Too much politics. I wouldn't put down an institute that I've studied at, but to be honest, here's what you'll face if you're planning on joining in. The campus looks beautiful on the outside, decked with greenery. On the inside, it's a round building, single gate for the entrance and exit. Ditch every plan of bunking. The security CANNOT be bribed. The rules will drain the life out of you. Once, my attendance was 74.5% and I wasn't allowed to write an exam till my parents came down for a PTM. At other times, we were sent home for being 10 minutes late to college. Attendance holds more importance than scores, academically bright students suffered detention even after reaching the last semester of the course. The faculty is average, some are really good though. Maintain punctuality in record work and assignments, failing which you sure as hell would lose out on internal scores. As compared to a few other pharmaceutical colleges, the pass percentage of ours is higher. Laboratory equipment is excellent and practicals are not to be missed. Just one fest per year, without music, because our Principal says it is a professional college. The attendanceof every single class is texted to parents. Numbers are verified and PTMs are conducted, which if your parents fail to attend, the penalty is slashing your attendance till the day they show up. No intention of defaming the college. But those are the rules. I personally do not like the place, it is suffocating and doesn't let us get enough exposure. However, if you're looking for a college that'd keep you busy with college work 24*7, CMR is where you belong. Also, the placements include roughly 17 companies, 8 of which are BPOs. The rest are pharmaceutical companies, not the high end kind. Salaries range from 17-30k.
