      The College of Fisheries, Agartala, is a renowned constituent college that is accredited by the Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR). The College of Fisheries admission process provides integrated education and research in fisheries science with an emphasis on the development of competent professionals for the fisheries and aquaculture sectors.

      The College of Fisheries, Agartala, admission process will identify the best-qualified and worthy candidates. The College of Fisheries admission process will take scores in the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate courses (CUET-UG) for admission to undergraduate programmes. CUET-UG exam will be held from May 15, 2025, to May 24, 2025, in online mode.

      College of Fisheries Application Process

      The application process of the College of Fisheries, Agartala, is different for different programmes:

      For B.F.Sc (Undergraduate) Programme:

      • For admission, candidates have to register for CUET-UG through the National Testing Agency (NTA) portal.
      • Candidates have to appear for the CUET-UG exam as scheduled.
      • After the result, apply to the College of Fisheries, Agartala, on the designated portal for admission.
      • Wait for the announcement of the merit list of the college.
      • If selected, undergo admission formalities like document verification and payment of the fee.

      For M.F.Sc and Ph.D Programmes:

      • Visit the college website to find out when the entrance examination dates will be announced.
      • Fill up the online application form for the programme one is interested in.
      • Pay the application fee as required.
      • Take the entrance examination organised by the college.
      • Candidates found suitable shall be called for document verification.
      • Final selection depends on the total score of the entrance exam (60%) and academic performance (40%).
      • Shortlisted candidates need to finish the admission procedure by furnishing the required documents and paying the applicable fees.

      College of Fisheries Degree-wise Admission Process

      Admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes is conducted based on entrance examination and academic merit. Students must apply through the prescribed application portals.

      College of Fisheries B.F.Sc Admission Process

      College of Fisheries offers a B.F.Sc (Bachelor of Fisheries Science) programme. The B.F.Sc course at the College of Fisheries, Agartala has an approved strength of 9 students. Admission to the course is on the basis of the performance of the candidate in the CUET-UG examination. The candidates should be from the merit list prepared on the basis of the Common Entrance Test held by the concerned states.

      College of Fisheries M.F.Sc Admission Process

      The College of Fisheries offers an M.F.Sc (Master of Fisheries Science) programme. The college provides various specialisations under the M.F.Sc course, each having an approved strength of 5 students:

      • M.F.Sc. Fisheries Resource Management
      • M.F.Sc. Fisheries Extension
      • M.F.Sc Aquaculture
      • M.F.Sc Fish Processing Technology
      • M.F.Sc Aquatic Animal Health
      • M.F.Sc Fish Genetics and Breeding
      • M.F.Sc Fish Biotechnology

      For all the M.F.Sc courses, the admission is through the college entrance examination (60% weightage) and the candidate's performance in the qualifying degree examination (40% weightage). At least 20% marks in the entrance examination are necessary for shortlisting.

      College of Fisheries Ph.D Admission Process

      The College of Fisheries offers a Ph.D programme. The college provides two Ph.D courses:

      • Ph.D in Fisheries Science (sanctioned strength of 3 students)
      • Ph.D in Aquatic Animal and Health Management

      The admission process for Ph.D programmes is the same as M.F.Sc. programmes. Selection of candidates is based on their performance in the entrance examination (60% weightage) and their performance in the qualifying degree examination (40% weightage). The 20% minimum marks criterion in the entrance exam is also applicable for Ph.D admissions.
