36 MonthsPh.D. programe inVeterinary Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for Ph.D. Programme is Master’s Degree in the respective/ related subject recognized by the University with an OGPA of 7.5/10 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of marks at Master’s Degree level. For SC/ST candidates the OGPA shall be 7.0/10 or equivalent. Students awaiting results can also apply. They should produce attested copy of the final mark list on or before the date of interview.
Admission Details
As a part of selection procedure there will be separate entrance examination and interview. The nature of the entrance examination will be of objective type with questions on general knowledge and the subject concerned. Selection shall be done on the basis of the OGPA in the qualifying exam, score in the entrance exam, experience, published articles, interview and the extracurricular activities of the candidate. Candidates will be considered for admission only if they secure a minimum of 40% marks in the entrance examination. The minimum is 30% for SC/ST candidates. As ordered in G.O. MS
