Since 2006, Dadasaheb Balpande College of Pharmacy is one of the leading institutions in the city of Nagpur in Maharashtra. DBCOP is accredited with an 'A' grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council and approved by All India Council for Technical Education and Pharmacy Council of India. A state-of-the-art computer laboratory is available with 40 advanced systems and internet connectivity for students. Extracurricular activities are catered for by the college through a sports ground that stretches over 4 acres, where the annual National Level Pharma Cricket League is held. Also available in the campus is a fully air-conditioned seminar hall that accommodates 200 participants, fitted with audiovisual facilities for any kind of academic presentation or guest lectures.

The institute offers a comprehensive range of pharmaceutical education programs. DBCOP provides 6 courses in the full-time undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. The B. Pharma programme has an intake capacity of 100 seats, and the M. Pharma programmes in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, and Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs have an intake capacity of 15 each; a B. Pharma Lateral Entry is available with 6 seats, and a Ph.D. programme in Pharmaceutical Sciences is also provided. The approved total intake of the college for all its courses is 303, meeting the requirements for entry and advanced pharmaceutical education.

The admission process to DBCOP is different from one program to another. For the B. Pharma program, the Institute grants admission on the basis of MHT-CET or NEET scores; a candidate seeking admission must have a non-zero score in either examination. The Institute considers GPAT scores conducted by AICTE for its M. Pharma programs. Ph.D. admissions are carried out in accordance with the rules enacted by Nagpur University, Nagpur. 

The institution also accepts the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test in some of its courses. Scholarship: The college has scholarship provisions; as of 2022, DBCOP has enrolled 53 students in its undergraduate and postgraduate programs together for refund.
