Dadasaheb Balpande College of Pharmacy, Nagpur Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a Sick Room at our college measures about 20 sq. m., which is enough to accommodate and take care of the patients from the college. Health checkups are done under a specialized doctor’s supervision at regular intervals.

The College has a spacious library and information center with extended hours with a peaceful environment, well lighting, comfortable chairs, and tables. The library consists of several books split between authors, subjects, magazines, and newspapers. An entire silent zone with a mechanized search system is serviced by a librarian who is skilled enough to handle all the concerns of students. Advanced software and a barcode system are used to issue books. The knowledge bank is well equipped with modern facilities and resources in the form of textbooks, reference, and various official books, Compact Discs, Digital Versatile Disc, Scientific journals with back volumes, Pharma magazine, Periodicals, and Newsletters. The library also provides a photocopying facility for students. An ‘e-library' equipped with a broadband internet connection for students and staff members.

The College has a huge playing ground of 4 acres attached to the campus that creates a lively and sporting environment on the campus. Every year, DBCOP organizes the National Level Pharma Cricket League (PCL) for the development of core value togetherness in students.

The College has Internet is transforming society and shaping the future through huge information resources. We cannot imagine technology-based professional courses like Pharmacy without computers and internet facilities. At DBCOP, we have an air-conditioned computer lab with 40 advanced computer systems with legal Microsoft Office 10 software, enabled with internet and connected to a LAN network.

The College's student, staff members, and visitors desire and has the right to food that must be hygienic and healthy. The college has an FSSAI-approved, well-hygienic canteen on campus, which is important for students, staff, and visitors. The canteen has a cafeteria with ample seating arrangements. The students, teaching, supporting staff, and visitors can enjoy tea or coffee, fresh and hygienic snacks, and lunch. This is the most fascinating place for students to enjoy college life.

The College has a separate fully air-conditioned Seminar Hall that measures about 215 sq m. with a seating capacity of 200, equipped with audio-visual facilities. Students regularly deliver seminars, group discussions, debates, and guest lectures at the Seminar hall. The seminar hall is spacious, well-ventilated, and equipped with Projectors and an Internet access unit for presentations, meetings, conferences, and lectures.

The College facilitates students with transport arrangements; we have 2 buses dedicated to students for their transport from the city to the college. Pick and drop is arranged as per the timings of the college curriculum, with one security guard always on a bus traveling with the students.

The college Alumni association was established on 2nd January 2018. The alumni association was registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 under the government of Maharashtra. The registration number assigned is Nagpur/0000001/2018. Approximately 893 students of B. Pharm. and M. Pharm have graduated from DBCOP since 2010. A total of 286 students have enrolled their names with the Alumni Association. 

The College is equipped with a Wi-Fi facility that is provided as value-added support for the literature survey and academic information resource.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students. Laboratories: Pharmaceutics Laboratory, Quality Assurance Technique Laboratory, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Laboratory Pharmacology, Laboratory Pharmacognosy.

The College Has parking spaces, safe drinking water facilities, etc.

The college gymnasium with all modern instruments required for the fitness and yoga center for meditation. 

The college workshops are periodically planned to foster a research mindset and keep students up to date with the latest industrial developments.

The College Training and Placement cell of the institute regularly organizes campus pool drives for the students.

The College Journal club has also been constituted to inculcate the research temperament and also to enhance skills like literature search, reading of relevant literature, and communication skills among students.
