Department of Pharmacy is one of the prestigious constituent college of Bareily of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University established in the year of 1996. Situated in the India’s most populated state of uttar pradesh this institute has been setting trends in the pharmacy education for last two decades. The department is well endowed with learning facilities, the department is located in a 50 acre compound conducive for learning. Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved bodies help the department to deliver quality education. The faculty consists of 21 dedicated professionals while delivering 5 courses at 3 degree levels, focused on different spheres of pharmaceutical sciences.

The Department of Pharmacy also holds recent teaching equipment and facilities to facilitate its academic programmes. Although the college has many other libraries, the main library has changed its location and in fact is a new building constructed in 1997 while it expanded in 2005. It should also be noted that other facilities are possible for students, for example, a buffet, as well as guest rooms. The university takes pride in its hostel facilities five boys’ hostels and four girls hostels which provide a comfortable, safe environment for out-station students. The department is well equipped with programmes for different academic level students in pharmacy. 

They enrol students for a 4-year Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) programme, three 2-year Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharma) programmes with options in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical chemistry and 6-year Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacy (Ph.D) programme.

Admission to courses offered in the Department of Pharmacy is through competitive merit list. The qualifying test for enrolment into the Ph.D. programme are the University Entrance Examination or GPAT.
