The 3-year LLB programme for Dispur Law College has an approved intake of 120 seats. The admission to this course is purely on merit and subject to availability of seats. The candidates are to be assessed on the basis of their academic performance in the previous qualifying examination. The admission procedure follows the guidelines laid down by Gauhati University and the Bar Council of India.
The programme of integrated BA LLB that will last for 5 years accommodates 180 seats (60 seats per year for a three-year programme). Also, like LLB programmes, merit-based and seat availability is the criterion for admission. The academic results of candidates for their 10+2 or equivalent examination are taken into consideration in their admission into this combined course.
For the 2-year postgraduate LLM programme, Dispur Law College conducts a written admission test. The test aims to evaluate the candidates' knowledge of law and their analytical abilities. Admission to the First Semester LLM shall be based solely on the performance in this written test. The number of seats for the LLM programme is not stated; however, it is expected to be limited to ensure the learning experience for postgraduate students.
