The Faculty of Technology and Engineering, Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara, is one of the premier constituent colleges of Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Established as a part of the university itself, FTE-MSU has grown into one of the prime technical education institutions in the state of Gujarat. Being located in Vadodara, it offers a wide array of programs in Engineering and Technology. It is approved by All India Council of Technical Education, AICTE and Council of Architecture, hence institute's standard of education is very high. Student community is co-educational with varied strength of students. Faculty strength is 133 in number, all experienced. Courses offered in FTE-MSU are 39 in number across 5 different degree levels. In this college, there are various engineering streams specialise.

The following facilities are availed at FTE-MSU:. The college library was started in the year 1950 and is well-stocked. There are state-of-the-art laboratories for various departments in engineering where students can get hands-on experience. Modern IT infrastructure and Wi-Fi connectivity enable the campus to access e-resources effortlessly. Sports facilities and an auditorium for events and seminars are available for extracurricular activities.The Faculty of Technology and Engineering, Maharaja Sayajirao University of Barodaalso has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, which makes it comfortable for outstation students to live in the hostel. A health centre equipped with first-aid facilities is also available within the campus, while a guest house is availed to visiting examiners and parents.

It offers courses that range all the way from 10 B.Tech programs, 25 M.Tech specialisations, MCA, and diploma courses. The B.Tech programs cover all the popular fields like Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, amongst others. The total sanctioned intake of the institution for its various courses is at a considerable level.

FTE-MSU admits most of its students through the ACPC portal at the B.Tech. level, and at the postgraduate level, it considers GATE scores. The college accepts many entrance exams, though GATE is predominant for the M.Tech level of admission. The FTE-MSU has a very active alumni association that keeps the links between the alumni and the college strong. This fosters the growth of the college and is always convenient for present students in the need of networking.
