The M.Com department has clean classrooms, a good library, basic computer facilities, and a peaceful campus. The infrastructure supports learning well, though some modern upgrades would further improve the experience.
The M.Com department offers quality academics with experienced faculty, a practical learning approach, regular seminars, and strong conceptual teaching. The curriculum is well-structured and supports overall academic growth.
Doesn't provide any placement but conducts counciling sessions and placement seminars which gives a good knowledge for future growth opportunities. The placement support at Gauhati Commerce College is decent, with guidance from faculty and career development activities such as seminars, workshops, and skill-building programs. Students are encouraged to improve their professional skills, and placement opportunities continue to grow through industry interactions and campus recruitment initiatives.
The course cost around 35,000 a year and it's value for money
The campus is clean, peaceful, and student-friendly with a positive learning environment. It offers basic amenities, greenery, and spaces for academic and extracurricular activities, creating a comfortable college experience.
Excellent academics, vibrant campus, disciplined, career-focused, highly reputed
The infrastructure of Gauhati Commerce College is decent and suitable for students' academic needs. The campus has spacious classrooms, a well-stocked library with a reading room, an auditorium for seminars and cultural events, and a canteen that provides food at reasonable prices. The college also offers purified drinking water, parking facilities, a gymnasium, and other basic amenities. Overall, the infrastructure is functional and creates a comfortable learning environment, although some areas could benefit from further modernization and regular maintenance.
Gauhati Commerce College has a good academic reputation, especially for commerce-related courses. The teachers are generally qualified and knowledgeable, and most subjects are taught in a structured manner. Regular classes, internal assessments, seminars, and assignments help students stay engaged with their studies. The college library and academic resources are useful for exam preparation and self-learning. While some students feel that teaching methods can be traditional, the overall academic environment encourages discipline and provides a strong foundation for higher studies and competitive exams. Overall, it is a suitable choice for students who are serious about their education and willing to put in consistent effort.
Based on student reviews and available placement information, Gauhati Commerce College has a placement cell that brings companies for recruitment, but placement opportunities are generally better for postgraduate and professional courses than for regular B.Com students. Many students still choose higher studies, competitive exams, or off-campus job searches after graduation. Recruiters from banking, finance, insurance, and sales sectors do visit the campus, but the number of placements for undergraduate students is not guaranteed. Overall, the college offers some placement support, but students should focus on building skills, internships, and certifications to improve their career prospects.
In my opinion, Gauhati Commerce College offers good value for money. The fees are comparatively affordable, and students get quality commerce education, experienced faculty, a good academic environment, and useful learning resources. For students looking for a budget-friendly college with a strong reputation in commerce, it is a worthwhile choice. Gauhati Commerce College is value for money because it provides quality education at a reasonable cost. No that's all
College hostel is very good for the students, providing them with different facilities such as Wi-Fi, classrooms, and a library. The food provided in the hostel is of very good quality and very hygienic to eat. The medical facilities and sports and games provided in the hostel are also of good quality.
The teachers were highly qualified in their field of subject, carrying expert knowledge and professional experience. Their teaching quality was very updated. Yes, this course curriculum is very relevant as it makes the students industry-ready.
Few students in our batch got placed as only a few companies visited our college for placement. The top recruiting companies were Pepsi, Coca-Cola, etc. The highest package was 5 LPA and the lowest package was 2 LPA. Many students got internships in my course in companies such as OIL and IOCL.
I chose this course because it offers the best education in our region. The syllabus needs to be updated for a few subjects as it is no longer relevant to us. There were many cultural events in our college, the campus surroundings were very pleasant, and many students also got scholarships
The campus has spacious, well-ventilated classrooms with some AC and digital facilities that support academic activities. A stocked library, computer labs, and Wi-Fi connectivity across the campus add to the academic infrastructure. Sports facilities and a gym are available, although some playground areas and outdoor spaces are still developing.
The academics is good with all faculties holding Phd degrees but their teaching methodology is way too outdated and they don't try to reinvent it also. Overall course wise it gives you a good exposure to Commerce.
There is placement cell and placement also happen in the institution but it is not that great. Most of the graduates gets jobs in Banks with insurance and sales roles. However specifically for B. Com the institution doesn't guarantee a Placement.
It is value for money with a good return on investment considering its one of the premium institute of Northeast.
There is nothing like campus life for students who stay in hostel. However hostelers enjoy a bit campus life may be.
Stay in hostel if possible.
college infrastructure was good library playground everything was present and the buildings were good some of the building contain AC and has proper ventilation also campus is beautiful and mba and bba block are with modern infrastructure
the accadmics of the colleges was good the teachers were friendly and there were periods of 1 hour for each subject and the accadmics was overall satisfactory scoring was easy and the teacher help us during exam time supporting and motivating us. there was less pressure of accadmics as the staff was very helpful
placement of MBA is good for better than other private colleges in Guwahati the highest packages Comes Around 4 to 5 legs and banks like ICICI axis and HDFC come for recruitment for sales and there are sales sales and marketing and HR are the specialization you can choose
Yes it was value for money
Great campus life
Don't put much pressure on yourself just enjoy ug life it won't come again
Some of the classrooms have AC which is very helpful in the summer season. And classroom infrastructure is good (though some of the old classrooms should be renovated properly). But the girls' washroom is not at all maintained properly.
Academics is quite decent. Some of the teachers are actually good and friendly. Though the routine can be improved. I don't know about other batches but when I was a student there, many students remain absent and classes were irregular.
I don't have much knowledge regarding this matter. But during a class, I heard from one of our professors that there are good placements in the college. He was sharing few stories of placements in the college to us.
Starting with the good, the college campus is always clean. Washroom are always kept clean as well. But the downside of the college in my view is its infrastructure. As it is a old college, the building is quite dated. Also, whenever there is rain the building along with the surrounding area gets flooded which is a huge issue.
Gauhati Commerce College in the context of academic standpoint is an excellent institute for students interested in commerce and management. Teachers are great, always eager to help and guide. The course is satisfactory with ample opportunity given to learn practical skills that would be desirable when we would be job searching.
As I was in undergraduate course, I would not be the suited person to comment whether placement is good or not. But as far as I have heard, placement is quite decent there for MBA candidates. Students get placed in good companies from this institute.
I would say my experience at Gauhati Commerce College was value for money. The course which is the main thing was great.
The cultural atmosphere is great as well as many fest and events are hosted in the college for students to enjoy and socialize. Local artists are called to perform and it is quite enjoyable for us students.
Liked building and basic amenities good infrastructure which are well maintained, boys hostel need improvement regarding hygiene and cleaning regularly, dustbin to be installed more.Road need rapirs regularly.
Good teachers and on time classes . teachers are supporting the weaker students to improve.Library is having almost all books to study.Especilly Management classes have best academics.Overall the teachers are good.
Just average as it needs more placements and better councellor to guide. There're less corporate in Assam in comparision to Northern India hence they should have better contact with northern area corporate s.
Competitive fee
Sports and Boys' common room have all equipments
Principal was very strict in maintaining discipline and understanding

The college infrastructure is very well furnished and all the monitors of the class are well functioned. The computer lab is diagoned with fully functioned wifi and the basic necessary equipments are also available and hostels are also available
The academics of GCC is very well coordinated and the course gives the students a practical knowledge of the studies which the students can apply in their real life. The curriculum is updated as it also teach the students about GST submission and many things.
In GCC the placements scenario is not so good. Only some sales job come for the requirement and the salary is also minimal. The college is trying hard to bring the placements but they are not succeding to bring the placements.
With a 61% score in Class 12th, you can definitely get into good colleges in the Northeast, particularly for Arts, Commerce, and many private professional or science courses. While getting into top government engineering or medical schools might be hard for general students, there are plenty of other great options
