General Eligibility Conditions For M.D.S.

• Candidates securing 50% marks in PGET will be eligible for admission.
• For SC/BC Candidates eligibility marks shall be 40% in PGET, for reserve seats for this category.
• One year Compulsory Rotatory Internship is an essential pre-qualification with a cut-off date for completion as 31 March of the corresponding year.
• Candidates who have passed their BDS Course before 1991 & registered with Punjab/Any state Dental Council will be eligible, without having done a compulsory internship.
• A candidate who is already admitted to any postgraduate degree course shall not be eligible.

ELIGIBILITY NRI:

NRI Eligibility Criteria for NRI (Category I & II) Seat: BDS with not more than three extra attempts in passing all the professional examinations taken together. The candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% marks on equalization after the deletion of 2% marks for each extra attempt.

Category I: NRIs who originally belonged to the State of Punjab.

Category II: NRIs who originally belonged to an Indian state other than Punjab.
