Gokhurapota B.Ed. College, Charatala, is an established college with a strong emphasis on teacher education in West Bengal. The two regular programs available at the college are Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.).

Admission process in Gokhurapota B.Ed. College is designed to select worthy candidates on merit basis. Admissions are done as per the policies of the state government of West Bengal and the university with which the college is affiliated. The marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination marks are considered by the college for selecting the candidates.

Application Process

Both B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. courses in Gokhurapota B.Ed. College have an application process in a systematic manner:

The selection process is governed by the policy of the state government of West Bengal and the respective affiliated university. Graduation and post-graduation from a recognized university must be completed to be eligible for the B.Ed. course.

D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education):
There are 50 seats for the D.El.Ed. course in Gokhurapota B.Ed. College. The admission to the course is also merit-based on the marks obtained in the qualifying exam and/or performance in the entrance test. The selection is as per the guidelines framed by the state government or UT administration. The candidates who passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board of examinations are eligible to apply for D.El.Ed. course.
