Government College of Engineering, Tirunelveli was established in the year 1981. GCE Tirunelveli campus is spread over 55 acres of land. It is a government co-educational institution. Government College of Engineering Tirunelveli is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and DOTE. Total 55 faculty members are available at the campus and the total student enrollment is 1890. Government College of Engineering is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The TNEA cutoff for GCE Tirunveli in various branches in last year are as follows:-
• B.Tech Mechanical engineering - The opening score for round 1 was 191.75 and closing score was 178.5. For the round 2, opening score was 176 and the closing score was 161.
• B.Tech Civil Engineering :- For round 1, opening score was 183 and the closing score was 180. For round 2, the opening score was 174.4 and the closing score was 165.5.
• B.Tech Computer science and engineering :-For round 1 the opening score was 194.5 andf the closing score was 178.5.
• B.Tech Electronics and Communication :-For round 1 the opening score was 197.25 and the closing score was 178.5. For round 2, the opening score was 177.5 and the closing score was 175.
