Government College of Engineering Tirunelveli was established in the year 1981. GCE Tirunelveli campus is spread over 55 acres of land. It is a government co-educational institution. Poor infrastructure and outdated equipments. Buildings are very old. Toilets and washrooms are very old and very unhygienic. When complained to staffs, no staff listens. Staffs frequently threatens me to leave the college over minor problems I face.

College Infrastructure
Classrooms and labs are good. Library is more than enough. Sports is given equal importance as studies is considered. There are bank, ATM, canteen. Admin block has a co-operative store and a xerox shop. Hostels are okay to accommodate and the hostel food is moderate. Everything, a student basically needs, can be accessed within the campus. If you expect luxury, then this college will not be the right choice.
