Government Degree College, Kamand Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

Government College Kaman was established by Government Order No. 327(1)/XXIV (7)/2016-36 (Gho)/15, Education Section-07 (Higher Education) Dehradun dated 29th July 2016. Six subjects are run in the Arts Faculty in the college (Hindi, Sanskrit, English, Political Science, Sociology, History). There are 1298 books available in the college library, out of which 239 are on Sociology, 155 on Sanskrit, 258 on Political Science, 127 on English, 233 on History, 268 on Hindi, 10 on Environment, 4 handbooks, and 4 books on Educational Psychology.

Various types of sports competitions are organized every year in Government College Command Tehri Garhwal to develop discipline, competition, hard work, patience, and courage through sports along with the feeling of collective harmony and brotherhood among the institutional students studying there. All the students participate in the sports competitions with great enthusiasm and the college awards prizes in the annual sports function to encourage the students who secure positions and for their good performance. The students who secure the first position are sent to participate in the inter-college competition.

National Service Scheme A unit of the National Service Scheme was formed in the college in the session 2022-23 to connect the students of Government College Command, Tehri Garhwal Uttarakhand in the program run by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India for the personality development of the youth of the nation. To the letter No. 179 / GPT (9) / National Service Scheme / 15 (10) dated 8 September 2022 of the State National Service Scheme Officer and after the approval of the Honorable Vice Chancellor of Sridevsuman Uttarakhand University Badshahithal, Tehri Garhwal, a unit of the nation number 100 was allotted in Government College Command.

An Alumni Council has been formed for the development of the college. It is a matter of joy that the students who have passed out from college are performing their duties with full competence and responsibility in various fields of society and as media experts, journalism, social workers, politics, technical experts, scientists, language experts, private business, etc. Efforts are made from time to time to connect with all such students through the Alumni Association of the college.

The college also provides good classroom facilities for all the students.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.
