Government Kamla Raja Girls Post Graduate College, Gwalior Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College has a hostel facility for all the students. There are 3 Hostels named Ganga, Kaveri, and Narmada accommodating 183 students. Every room has a Bed, an almirah, a table, a chair, a book rack, a ceiling fan, a towel stand, Synthetic Curtains, etc., for the occupants. A hot Water facility, Water Coolers with Aqua-Guard, a modernized and Hygienic Kitchen and Dining hall, and Common rooms with mattresses, TV, and Indoor Game facilities are also provided to the hostelers. The Medical Team visits the hostel regularly.

The College has provided first aid and takes care of minor health complaints if the need arises.

The college has a gym facility for all the students with all types of equipment.

The College has a Central Library (having 100605 books) and other department-wise Libraries. 16 Magazines, 45 Research Journals, and 13 News Papers are subscribed to regularly. All facilities for research workers in various subjects are available in the library. A library is equipped with Reprography, TV, Audio, Video Cassettes, & INTERNET facilities.

The college provides a Sports Kit & other facilities to players of the college team. The college provides T-shirts, Track-Suit & attractive prizes to players representing Gwalior Division or Jiwaji University. The college provides rich and sumptuous refreshments during practice time. College grants exemption from examination fees to those who represent the university in various games and sports.

The college has a computer lab established in the Home Science department, which has 10 computers.

The College provides a canteen facility to the students, which is run by a private contractor. A variety of refreshments and meals are available in the canteen. The canteen is open from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM on all working days.

The college has an auditorium that is optimally used for all academic activities, like National Conferences, as well as major cultural events like intercollegiate competitions conducted throughout the year. The area of the auditorium is about 1000 sq. mts., which may accommodate 1000 students.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The college has Wi-Fi enabled and faculty members have access to teaching-learning materials available online. Each department is provided with a computer (S) and an internet facility. All faculty members are computer-literate.

The college has maintained laboratory equipment suppliers, who are contacted to provide services, while simpler instruments are maintained by calling up local mechanics and technicians as required.

The college has a separate parking area /cycle stand for students and staff. The parking area of the College accommodates 50 four-wheelers and 250 two-wheelers.

The college also encourages students to participate in extracurricular activities like NSS and NCC.

The college's Motive for the placement cell is to act as a facilitator to arrange campus visits and coordinate the recruitment process of the prospective employers of graduating students of the college.
