The college to be specific is co-educational it has total strength of 400 students, and the strength of faculty members is 152. With only one programme, the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), the Government Medical College, Palakkad has emerged as a rapidly growing medical college in the area.

    Government Medical College Palakkad has all the basic amenities that make learning effective and make the student’s overall growth. This facility features a health centre where first aid for students who fall ill whilst at the learning institution can be administered. A good library plays a role of a medical library where doctors get necessary books and other writings relevant to medical practice as well as research materials to help the young doctors in their education.
