Government PG College, Hindaun City Admission Process

Government PG College in Hindaun City, affiliated to Karauli, Rajasthan. The college offers three-year undergraduate courses and two-year master's programs and is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). At Government PG College, admissions are primarily on the basis of merit so that the institution can continue to maintain a high quality of academic courses and good education. Admission to these courses generally occurs every year before commencement of the academic session. However, for a master's program such as MA Hindi, MA Political Science, M.Sc Chemistry, or M.Sc Mathematics, the undergraduate must have completed his/her degree in the relevant discipline. Once again, merit is the basis for admission.

Application Process

1. Announcement of Admissions: The college announces commencement with the admission process via the official website and local newspapers.

2. Application Forms: Candidates have to procure and duly fill up the application forms. It may be available online from the college website or in person at the admissions office. 

3. Document Submission: Together with the application form, candidates must submit necessary documents, which are usually:

  • Marksheets of qualifying examinations (10th, 12th for UG courses; Bachelor's Degree for PG courses);
  • Transfer Certificate;
  • Character Certificate;
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable);
  • Recent passport-size photographs;

4.Application Fee: Candidates might be required to pay an application fee. The specifics of this amount and how to pay would be revealed at the time of admission notification.

5. Merit List Preparation: Merit lists shall be prepared by the college on the basis of criteria defined for each of the courses. 

6. Publication of the Merit List: The merit list is published on the notice board of the college and on the possible official website.

7. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for document verification.

8. Fee Payment: Selected candidates are to pay the admission fee via the stipulated timeline to secure a seat.

9. Admission Confirmation: Once the admission fee is paid and all the formalities completed, admission is confirmed.

Degree wise Admission Process

BA: Admission into the BA program being tirneptocentric deals with merit and therefore anyone who has undergone the 10+2 level examination form a recognized board will be legible to apply. The selection will be solely on the basis of the marks received in the qualifying examination.

B.Com: Based on merit, admission is extended to the B.Com program. Admission may be granted to students who have completed the 10+2 with Commerce or equivalent subjects. The final selection will be based on the academic performance in the 12th standard.

B.Sc: Based on merit, admission is given to the B.Sc course. Candidates who have completed their 10+2 examinations in Science subjects are eligible. Only the marks in the qualifying examination will be given due consideration for the selection.

MA Hindi: This postgraduate program stands to gain students based on the merit score they obtain in the relevant bachelor's degree. Candidates with a BA in Hindi and/or a related subject shall be eligible to apply.

MA Political Science: Admission in the MA Political Science course is based on merit. Students who have qualified for their degree program, preferably in Political Science or related social science subject, shall be eligible to apply.

M.Sc Chemistry: Admission to the M.Sc Chemistry program is based on merit. Candidates with a B.Sc Chemistry or in related subject areas are eligible to apply. Selection will be based on their performance in the undergraduate program.

M.Sc Mathematics: M.Sc Mathematics also follows a merit-based admission process. Students who have completed their B.Sc with Mathematics as a major subject are eligible to apply. The selection will be based on the marks obtained in relevant subjects during the bachelor's degree program.
