Government Postgraduate College, Khargone (GPGC Khargone) is a long-established institution in Madhya Pradesh that provides a comprehensive array of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. For more than sixty years, the college has been extending its academic help to students. The college is now following admission procedures to select textbooks to the deserving candidates for all the courses.

The admission cycle at GPGC Khargone is run close to the academic calendar of the affiliate university. Some dates here and there might vary from one year to the other, but the admissions generally start a few months before the academic year beginning, which usually occurs in August-September.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.A.: Admission to the Bachelor of Arts program at GPGC Khargone is open to an approved cohort of 600 students. Admission shall be based on marks obtained in the 10+2 examination, oriented to the subjects related to the chosen specialization.

B.Sc. Biology: This program has an intake of 240 students. Candidates must have studied Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in their 10+2 to be eligible for applying. Admission is made on the basis of marks obtained in these subjects.

Bachelor of Commerce: The Bachelor of Commerce program can admit 120 students. Admission is based on the performance in the 10+2 examination, with preference given to students who have studied Commerce or related subjects.

M.Sc. Mathematics: The postgraduate course in Mathematics can accommodate 120 students. Graduates in Mathematics or allied stream will be considered for selection. The procedure of selection may take into consideration graduation marks and possibly an entrance test.

M.Com.: The Master of Commerce program has an intake of 120 students. Candidates must have a B.Com. or equivalent degree. Usually, marks in the undergraduate degree are considered for admission.

MA (Various Subjects): The college offers MAs in Hindi Literature, English Literature, Political Science, and Economics, with an intake capacity of 80 each. Admission is based on the academic performance of the candidate in their bachelor's in the relevant subject.
