GGSMCH Faridkot Facilities

Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital, Faridkot provides certain facilities to the students and faculty members of the institute including intensive care unit, blood bank, operation theatres, emergency services, central lab etc. Detailed description of all the facilities provided to the students and faculty members of the institute are mentioned below.

Intensive Care Unit- The ICU is well equipped with multi-parameter invasive monitoring, invasive and noninvasive ventilators, infusion pumps, and dialysis, with pulse generator ( external pacemaker), bi-physic – defibrillator, bi-pap / c-pap ventilator, volumetric infusion pump, monitor with NIBP and IBP, mainstream EtCO2 monitor to treat patients with critical illness.
Blood Bank- Blood Bank is a center where blood is stored donated by blood donors and later used for blood transfusion needed by patients.
Operation Theatres- Operation theatres of Guru Gobind Singh Medical Hospital are sectioned into two types- minor and major. The minor OT is for casualty, Surgical OPD, Ophthalmology, OBG OPD, Orthopaedics OPD and ENT whereas the major OT is for General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, ENT and OBG. All the operation theatres are well equipped with closed circuit cameras and recording systems so that students can learn and get an idea of operating surgeries.
Emergency Services- The hospital also has an emergency department which works 24x7 for the treatment of patients. The emergency ward has trained medical doctors and nurses to attend patients in case of any emergency.
Central Laboratory- The central laboratory of the hospital is provided with facilities of automated Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pathology.

Boys Hostel
The colleges has Double story building having 208 Rooms with provision of bathrooms on both the Stories Double story building having 120 Rooms with provision of bathrooms on both the Stories Four story building having 96 rooms with provision of attached bathroom with each room Three Story building with 51 rooms with provision of attached bathroom with each room Resident’s Hostel block with 15 rooms with provision of attached Bathroom with each room (b) Distance from the college & Hospital: 1.5 KMS From Hospital and Medical College.
Girls Hostel
The colleges has Double story building having 208 Rooms with provision of bathrooms on both the Stories Double story building having 120 Rooms with provision of bathrooms on both the Stories Four story building having 96 rooms with provision of attached bathroom with each room Three Story building with 51 rooms with provision of attached bathroom with each room Resident’s Hostel block with 15 rooms with provision of attached Bathroom with each room (b) Distance from the college & Hospital: 1.5 KMS From Hospital and Medical College.

Hello Aditya last year the paper was easy so the cutoff was very high and so does the ranks vs marks .
