MY experience of college life is good. The faculty and teachers are very good and helpful. They also teacher nicely. The infrastructure is also very good. The teachers are all qualified. Various events takes place. It also provides good campusing with well reputed companies. The location of the college is also very available and can be reached easily from anywhere by any means of transportation.

Since my childhood I always wanted to become an engineer..so when I got chance I took admission in gnit..The main reason I chose this college is that it is nearest from my home..The infrastructure is very good..Our professors are really very helpful..i took extra classes even before my semester exam..Bt the main problem with this college is that it is very strict in case of attendence..still our professors help us a lot..The best part of this college is that it has a xerox center where i go every now and then to have my notes..I think i would not have passed without the help of these notes..All our labs are well equipped..Besides our professors there are lab assistants who help us a lot..It a has a large library where you can have your group study peacefully..Gnit is a free wifi zone.Placements are really good..this year so many companies came and recruited many students..It has a gym which i use on regular basic..A big playground and a basket ball court is also there..Techfest, cultural fest are organised every year..Many colleges take part in techfest..I cannot say about hostel facility because I dont have any experience bt all i cal say my college experince is really fantastic.

Good exposure to every kind of facility i.e. lab instruments, library, internet, wifi, computer labs, sports, field.Greenery is also present within the campus.A canteen is also present to provide foods to students at standardised rates.Grade 'B' accreditation by NAAC.MOUs with foreign universities and companies for placement, training etc.Every year top 10 students are sent abroad for enhancing their skills thus exposing them to other universities.Organizes industrial visits, guest lectures conferences and seminars. Faculties are not the best though we have very few better faculties who spend quality time with the students both in academic and non-academic events in order to make them fit and sound in every aspect. The proportion of placements in every stream is not equal.Mostly the students from ECE, IT and CSE get better placement opportunities when compared to EE students. College life is good as various events are organised by students like blood donation camps, tech fests, code fiesta, cricket and football tournaments. But there is less involvement in cultural fests as there is no individual committee for taking the responsibility. Hostels are clean and good especially the girls' hostel.Security guards are present 24*7.Gyms are present for students.A common room for students is a need for all the students so that they can spend quality time with each other. The hostel facilities should be developed more in order to encourage more students to live within the campus boundary as more students lives in PGs. The student crowd is good and the ratio between boys and girls in non core streams are well balanced. The environment is also good and the students are studious, intelligent and helpful. But students should be given more industrial exposure. The fee structure is also at par with the other colleges in West Bengal. In short to sum up in a line if you choose GNIT as your college,it would be a good decision to enjoy college life apart from the academics.

the thing is that, my college experience for the past 3.5 yrs was very bad. As an IT student, I wont recommend this college, because faculty staffs r not highly qualified, they are not always ready to help you, on the contrary their behaviour is very bad, you can say their behaviour is egoistic, yess egoistic! they ask you why don't you came to us for help, but at the end you wont get anything, its not that their lack of skill all the time, but its their lethargic nature.. lab facilities is very poor, you wont get that much opportunities to explore yourself. they don't choose tough subjects for syllabus, this is highly influenced by teacher and student, college placement not that much low quality, more than 20 companies came but as the college doesn't provide them stuffs , they intake max 10-12 students average basis.. only 1 company will come for max recruitment, in which they will take max 60-80 students among 1000 students

Infrastructure is overall good but campus recruitment is very much poor. students are forced to study hard but actually there is not any kind of help from the college administration. faculties are good and helpful. college environment is good and campus is nice. semester fees is not affordable that is too much high.
