48 MonthsBachelor of Arts (BA) Honours in Economics is a full-time four-year undergraduate degree course offered by the University of Burdwan, Bardhaman.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants who have obtained a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in the Higher Secondary / Equivalent examination and a minimum of 30% marks obtained in a major subject (Hons.) will be deemed eligible.
- Those who are applying for History, Philosophy, or Political Science can do so even if they do not have the subject applied for at the Higher Secondary / Equivalent level. In such a case, the highest marks obtained from among the Language subjects of the applicant would be considered, provided that the said marks are not less than 30%.
- Applicants for Geography must obtain a minimum of 30% marks in Higher Secondary / Equivalent examinations in Geography (qualifying marks in theory & practical separately).
- Applicants for Economics have to obtain a minimum of 30% of marks in the said subject and qualifying marks in Mathematics. Those who do not have Economics at the Higher Secondary /Equivalent level can also apply, provided they obtain a minimum of 30% marks in Mathematics in the Higher Secondary / Equivalent examination.

Admission to the honours courses is made from the names of the applicants who appear serially in the merit list prepared on a rational and reasonable basis.
