Himalayan Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kala Amb was established in the year 2009. The college is known for its state-of-the-art infrastructure and quality of education. Today, there is a severe need to improve the quality of engineering education to revive its lost glory by offering courses in the branches of civil engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and communication engineering and many more. 

Himalayan Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kala Amb also called HIET Kala Amb offers course at the undergraduate level that includes BE/BTech. HIET Kala Amb admission into the BE/BTech programme is given based on JEE Main or HPCET scores. The Institute also has a placement cell that offers job opportunities to the students with competitive pay packages. 

HIET Kala Amb also facilitates separate hostels for boys and girls, a library, an auditorium, a transport facility medical services and many more which merit students can avail of.
