B.Tech Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2025-01-01
Academics
Teachers are well-skilled in teaching and are also helpful to students. The course is designed for new-age technology, making students ready for the industry. The semester exams are neither too easy nor too difficult. The passing mark is 35% in theory subjects and 50% in practical exams.
College Infra
Our college provides excellent facilities such as good classrooms, Wi-Fi, library, labs, and books. The hostel facilities are also very good, with meals having an average taste but being healthy. There are two mess facilities, and the food quality is almost good. The medical facilities are average, with one ambulance available 24/7.
Placements
60-70% of students get placed every year from every branch. The highest package is 10 LPA, the lowest is 3.5 LPA, and the average package is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Adani, Tata Power, Visa Steel, Vedant, Ultratech Cement, etc. 70-80% of students got internships from my course, and most of them preferred PWD, Railway, CTTC, HAL, DRDO, NALCO, ZINDAL, etc.

Academics
The teachers are quite helpful and well-qualified, having graduated from prestigious IIT colleges. The curriculum is easy to understand, and the college prepares students for future industrial purposes, which is beneficial for students. The semester exams are easy, as the questions come from topics that are taught in class.
College Infra
In recent years, there have been many new buildings and infrastructure developed at Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology. All the classrooms and the entire campus are equipped with free wifi, and all the classrooms are smart classrooms with smart boards. The hostels, such as Bramhosh Bhawan and surya bhawan, are the best and provide all the facilities and the best food qualities.
Placements
Placements for mechanical engineering at our college are good. Companies like L&T, PPL, Adani, JK Paper, etc., visit our college for placement drives. The average salary package offered ranges from 3.5 to 4.5 LPA. Role offered is as GET in most of the companies. Placement drives are currently ongoing, I am unaware of the exact placement percentage. Around 50-60% of students from the mechanical branch are placed in reputed organizations.

Teachers give academic support to students in every possible way.
Our college campus provides activities and clubs for a variety of interests, including technical clubs and annual events like Horizon.
College Infra
College infrastructure is functional with some strong academic facilities.
The college infrastructure also includes sports facilities that allow students to engage in recreational activities. But needs improvement in food of mess.
Placements
Our college conducts training sessions, mock interviews, and campus recruitment drives to help students prepare for placements.

2 result admission in IGIT COLLEGE
Hi,
For Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology Sarang, admission is mainly through JEE Main or OJEE counselling.
Basic eligibility:
• 10+2 with PCM
• Around 50% minimum marks
• Participate in OJEE/JoSAA counselling
Branches like CSE are more competitive, while Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, etc. usually close at comparatively higher ranks.

I have got Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, Sarang (electrical engineering) in 1st round of ojee counselling. It was my 4th choice.
Should I accept my seat or float?
My other 3 choices are
1) mechanical engineering [vssut burla]
2) electrical and electronics engineering [vssut burla]
3)electrical engineering[vssut burla]
There are 2 more rounds left.
Also should I participate in csab( only for nits).
Since you've been allotted Electrical Engineering at IGIT Sarang (4th choice) and your top 3 preferences are at VSSUT Burla which is a more reputed institute with better academics and placements it's wise to choose "Float" and try for a higher option in the next 2 OJEE rounds. If your

i scored 56 percent in my 12th boards(cbse),and get 90 percentile in my jee mains as a home state canditate,can i get vssut burla or igit saranga
So according to your percentage that is 56% in 12 class and 90 percentage in JEE MAINS 2025 you do have chances of getting admission into IGIT Sarang college.You can go for branches such as Mechanical, Electrical, Civil. While other branches with higher cutt offs are very difficult for you.
