Both institutions have their pros and cons which I am listing but if you go by the repute in Indian Hotel Industry, IHMs especially top ones are considered way better than IIHMs.

As far as I know , according to the curriculum , they do not have any foriegn language courses in IHM. IHM is known globally for institution of excellence for skill and knowledge. In order to get admission you need to All India Joint Entrance Exam of NCHMCT.

Admissions to IHMs is done on the basis of your score in NCHMCT JEE 2019. The overall score is indicative of your performance in all 5 subjects: Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude, Reasoning and Logical Deduction, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, English Language and Aptitude for Service Sector.

On comparing both the colleges I would say IHM Hyderabad is slightly better than kolkata. But there is not much difference between both the colleges. It totally depends on how you are. If you are capable you will land up in a good job by either of the colleges
