Diploma in Food Production is a full-time one-year and six-month diploma course offered by the National Council For Hotel Management And Catering Technology, New Delhi.
A personal interview is held with a view to determining a candidate's interactive ability and level of general awareness. Marks obtained by candidates are clubbed with the marks obtained in the qualifying examination to finalize the selection list. Candidates finally selected for admission are intimated on the same day.
Candidates who are finally selected as per the prescribed procedure will be admitted on payment of the first term fee immediately on the declaration of selection list failing which their selection will stand canceled. Admission will be on a first come first basis.
Candidates applying for admission are required to submit a physical fitness certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner as per the prescribed format is given in the Information Brochure. Admission to the course will be granted only if the candidate is found to be physically fit for pursuing the course of study.
Minimum qualification for admission to Diploma Courses in Food Production and Food & Beverage Service is a clear pass in the final examination of 10+2 system of Senior Secondary Examination or its equivalent, with English. A decision of the institute regarding the eligibility shall be final. Even after admission to the Institute if an applicant is at a later date found ineligible on account of supplying false information of false testimonials or for having suppressed any material information, his / her admission will be canceled and the fee paid will also be forfeited.
