Bachelor of Science ( B.Sc ) Honours in Microbiology is a full-time three-year undergraduate course offered by the Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut.

Microbiology is a branch of science that turns out many imaginations into reality. Microbiology is the study of microorganisms, which are too small to be seen with the naked eye, including bacteria, algae, protozoa, and fungi, as well as acellular agents, such as viruses and prions.

The advancement in this field has given the ability to human being to see tiny invisible organisms of unbelievable size, less than 0.2 micron or even less. It is the study of micro-organisms along with distribution and role in the environment and their relationship to other living organisms including humans. In spite of their size, the impact of microbes on the planet is so extensive that life as we know it could not exist without them.

Eligibility Criteria

Admission to the B.Sc. (Honours) Microbiology course is open to students of the recognized board on satisfying the following conditions
The candidate must have passed intermediate /10+2 with biology/biotechnology/math with at least 45% marks for general and OBC and passing marks for SC & ST candidates.
Candidates appearing for 10+2 examination or awaiting their results are also eligible to apply. Their candidature, however, shall be considered subject to the clearance of the qualifying examination.

Admission Details

The admission to the B.Sc. (H) Microbiology program will be done on the merit (based on the aggregate marks at 10+2 level) declared by the CCS University. Interested Candidates can obtain Application forms from Admission Office at IMS, Ghaziabad. Candidates can also fill the Online inquiry form on the website. Candidates seeking admission in B.Sc are required to meet the Admission Counselor in the Institute Premises.
Admission is confirmed on the basis of merit & interaction.

Institute is equipped with all the necessary infrastructure that is required for a student to learn and grow. Be it labs, libraries, or sport everything has ample resources to use from. The institute is well maintained. The food facility in the mess, canteen or various other food joints is hygienic, good and healthy.
