About JCET Ottapalam
Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology Palakkad was established in 2008. The college is approved by the AICTE, and it is a co-educational college where both males and females study together. JCET Palakkad offers B.Tech, M.Tech and MBA courses in different specialisations for the students.
JCET Palakkad is affiliated with the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University Thiruvananthapuram. Admission to the B.Tech programme is made on the basis of the performance of the candidates and the rank obtained by them in the JEE Main or KEAM examination. JCET Palakkad admission in the M.Tech programme is based on the GATE rank and scores. To take admission in the MBA programme, the candidates should have a valid CAT/CMAT/KMAT score.
JCET Palakkad scholarships are also offered to students who meet the eligibility criteria. The college has a placement cell which guides students for future purposes. According to the NIRF 2026 data, 114 students were placed with a median salary of Rs 4,50,000 in 2025.
