Among the prestigious constituent colleges, JNTUA Oil Technological and Pharmaceutical Research Institute was established in the year 1949 at Ananthapuramu in Andhra Pradesh, India. The institute gained approval from the Pharmacy Council of India and is mainly famous for its pharmaceutical education and research. The institute is spread over an area of 11 acres and offers 8 courses in 4 degree programmes with a total enrolment capacity of 374 students. The admission process may differ in each programme at JNTUA OTPRI. In the case of B. Pharma and Pharm.D, admission is mainly on the basis of EAMCET rank. In Category B seats for these courses, percentage marks in 10+2 examinations or EAMCET rank may be taken into account. For the postgraduate courses of M.Pharma and Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate, admission is based on GPAT or AP PGECET scores. The institute accepts these nationally and state-recognised entrance exams to make the admission process fair and competitive.
