Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Civil Engineering is a four-year full-time undergraduate program recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and offered by the Assam Science and Technology University, Guwahati.

Eligibility Criteria

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

Admission Details

Admission is done under the Assam Science and Technology Unversity (ASTU), Guwahati. As per the CEE examination process.

College Infrastructure

the college has old fashioned infrastructure but has 2 fields one for cricket and one for football, also it has a basketball court, the college equipment are old and most of them don't work properly but good enough to complete tasks

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is old and damaged but well enough to do the work. The college has less and old equipment. The college's main building is old-fashioned but beautiful. The college's classrooms are like that of the school.

My experience of 3years in JIST is really good.

College Infrastructure

College infrastructure is not as good as other engineering colleges like AEC JEC. No separate building for each department. Overall infrastructure is very poor in our college. College canteen is also not good. But the college campus is really big.
