Province College, Guwahati Admission Process

Province College, Guwahati, is affiliated to Gauhati University and is situated in Guwahati, Assam. Degree wise Admission Process

BA (General and Honours): It comprises BA branches of specialization under Province College, with these among others being Assamese, Education, English, and Political Science to name but a few. All BA programs (general and honours) have merit-based admission. Eligible candidates are those who, having qualified for their 10+2 examinations in Arts or equivalent qualification, had taken the examination. Consideration would be made on the qualifying examination marks from which the merit list would be prepared.

B.Ed: The B.Ed program at Province College has a sanctioned seat intake of 100. The B.Ed admission process is different from other courses and is dependent on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination set by state government and the university. The selection process carries both academic performance and entrance test scores, which ensures that those selected will have the right aptitude for teaching.

The quality of teaching was good and teacher was supportive and they also helps all students and i think they should improve the quality of education. Curriculum wise they are quite decent they follow course of Guwahati University.

Can you help us the name of the specific entrance test or institute you're referring to, because the release of application form for BEd isn't same for all moreover in some cases admission is based on the merit of the qualifying examination, or for others it's done through entrance test such as CEE conducted by NCERT for admission to RIEs, BHU UET, DU BEd, CUCUET for admission to Central Universities to name a few, generally speaking the eligibility criteria for BEd is passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university securing 50% aggregate or above depending upon the norms of the colleges, you can follow the official website of the college you're interested in admission in order to get regular updated for the same.
