Kazigram College of Education, Malda, under the English Bazar subdivision of Malda district in West Bengal, and is co-educational and NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education)-financed. At Kazigram College of Education, merit is the only criterion for admission under the directions of the State and the university to which it is affiliated. The college, in an ordinary sense, looks to the graduates the candidates earn in their qualifying examinations and/or entrance examinations.
For transparency, the selection procedure has been framed in such a way that only deserving students get an opportunity to pursue a career in teaching. The merit on the basis of qualifying and/or entrance examination for admission to the B.Ed course similarly applied for the D.El.Ed course, whereby merit is based on the entrance-qualifying examination as per state government directions.
Application Process
The general admission procedure adopted by the Kazigram College of Education, Malda, usually consists of the following steps:

7. Fee Payment: The selected candidates must pay the course fee in the given time period to confirm their admission.
8. Document Verification: Further, an in-depth verification of the submitted documents pertaining to the required criterion by the college is done prior to finalization of admission.
Degree wise Admission Process
B.Ed (Bachelor of Education): Kazigram College of Education offers a full-time B.Ed course of two years' duration with a limited intake of 50 students per session. Admission to this course is granted purely on merit, depending on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The candidate has to qualify the eligibility criteria set forth by the State Government along with the State University to which the college is affiliated. This merit consideration is primarily geared to select candidates with proven academic records and teaching aptitudes.
D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education): This D.El.Ed is also a two-year regular program with 50 seats being allocated. On the merit basis of marks in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test prescribed by the State Government, students will be selected for this diploma program. The program is conferred on aspiring elementary school teachers and strives to ensure that candidates who are selected have the right inclination and the required academic qualification.
